“A few months ago, the Robin Hood Foundation collaborated with Knoop Academy to train a group of about 15 ladies in crocheting and sewing in the Hammarsdale area. This course took place over about 2 weeks. By the end of this time, the ladies had been taught really practical skills and they made beautiful products which they were able to sell. They were also taught some practical business skills, life skills, sales skills, and money management. We will be working with Brenda again in the next month. She has several other empowerment courses that she runs and I have heard favourable responses from people who have attended them.
